Rowan Atkinson is great as always, he doesn't need to say anything for him to be funny and the film shows that off. I just thought that it added something different to the film and I'd actually like to see how much they actually filmed for that which really didn't comprise more than 15% of the movie, because it was really quite inspired. It's clearly all about him and the film reflects that. I just found his character's vanity, as evidenced in his film, Playback Time, that's screened at Cannes and how pretty much the film is just meant to showcase him and his "talents".

I found the stuff with Willem Dafoe to, actually, be really funny. There's actually some really inspired bits here though.

Really it is silly humor and some of the gags are ripped off the TV series. They aren't particularly memorable but I did like Bean being stuck in an outhouse, and somehow ripping it off, and moving it with him still stuck.

I say surprisingly because a lot of the gags, at first, don't really work at all but they start clicking better as the movie goes along.

To be honest a lot of these gags feel like stuff they left off the series because they just didn't get around to it, that's not to say they aren't funny because the film, surprisingly, gets better as it goes on. There story that is here is largely unimportant, clearly, it's just about the next sight gags. But, really, this film is more "faithful" to the character of the series than that lame movie they did, specifically, for American audiences.

I can't really find a reason to justify the existence of this film other than, clearly, a quick paycheck for those involved. This is a loving, nice, and light-hearted affair, though strange in places it fits itself as a film that is good enough to sit through and enjoy.Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities: Season 1 Mr Beans love interest also deserves credit for being very easy on the eye! I won't go on about this film much, but basically don't just cross it off as something you'll hate. I loved Black Adder, but was only a Mr Bean fan when i was very young, as an adult i have to say i'd grown out of it! This however made me reminisce and remember how good a comedian Rowan Atkinson is! The director also deserves credit too, as he keeps this story nicely edited through-out and lets the adventure unfold at a nice pace. Also loved the whole Carson Clay in love with himself film moment near the end. thinking back to the film '15 minutes' (if you've seen it you'll understand what i mean) This helped me loosen up and allowed me to enjoy the film. The first thing i liked was the fact it wasn't set in America, so i didn't have to listen to a number of Americans try to explain who this Mr Bean character was! I didn't laugh out loud, but I did chuckle along at the jokes and enjoyed some of the darker aspects such as the mobile phone gags! When i saw Karel Roden pop up early on in the film i chuckled to myself as he filmed the camcorder. Don't get me wrong, this is no classic but it is a enjoyable film. I wasn't too impressed with this but fair is fair! I couldn't remember much of the first film but wasn't expecting to be blown away or enjoy it to be frank! However i was pleasantly surprised and am not ashamed to admit i enjoyed it. Last week i took the girlfriend to see '300', this week it was her turn to pick the film.
